Grinding Down Travertine Description

I have Travertine flooring in my kitchen area. I recently purchased an under Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) wine cooler only to discover that it is 1/16th" to tall to fit under our Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) . I must either cut out the flooring or find a way to grind down the travertine to create enough room for the cooler to fit. Can this Material (http://g654.org) be grounded down, and (http://maplered.com) if so, by what type of tools or do I have to cut and (http://maplered.com) chip it out all together? Please advise!
